strange questions 'why hpux' without anything specific to it.

there are many things i can say not to use it, i would use it as a desktop OS for example :D

so, perhaps if you would state the purpose it's better to answer the benefits or short commings of hpux for that topic.

It has been a very stable OS (as far as the PA-RISC was concerned). I won't bet on Integrity.

The support you get from ITRC forum you cannot get on any other OS forum. I have worked on many OSs and when faced with some problems with those OSs used to wonder why they do not have any 'ITRC'-like forum similar like this. The support you get on here is really great.
