X Windows on 11i-v3 question
CDE is not used.
Not using anything except text-only command line login on a server, ie: X has never been started.
If X were used on this server intermittently, is there a reliable method to track when X is enabled/started at the console and by whom (we do not use CDE for anything).
Thx.

Re: X Windows on 11i-v3 question
Hi,
If I remember correctly the X server logs can be found in:
/var/X11/Xserver/logs
Not sure though if these logs will provide you with the details you are looking for...

Re: X Windows on 11i-v3 question
what is it that you are using to connect to the system ?
most servers do not have graphical consoles anyway and hence CDE is not installed by default with 11.31.
use of x-server on PC in cooperation with ssh is the typical method to supply a graphical interface remotely.
