I have a Ze5000 laptop and I cannot use it in Redhat 9. I have been to linuxant.com and seen the drivers to download, but I don't know which one I have. Can you help me?

Look in the documentation, find the modem manufacturer, part number and relavent info.

Post it in and then someone can help. I have know idea who even built your laptop.

The laptop was made by HP. It has a conexant modem that is called a winmodem. You probaly already know what they are, so I don't need to explain. There are 3 different drivers at linuxant for Red Hat and I don't know which to use. All the manual says it is a software-based modem; the device manager says it is a Conexant 56K ACLink Modem.

I went through the same process recently installing Redhat 8, but mine was an HCF modem not the Winmodem. It is likely you can get it to work. First download the utility program from Conexant that will tell you exactly which modem you have:

Then you can look on their web site for the driver to match your h/w. I noticed they were mentioning new drivers for RH 9. Good luck!

I downloaded it, but I don't know how to run it. Can ypu explain how to run it, I know it might be kinda hard?
