We have Mickysoft Exchange 5.5
I'm looking for a good anti-spam appliance
for about 250 users.
I would like to buy MailFoundry™ from solinus
http://www.solinus.com/mailfoundry/
but I'm not sure.
Has someone already this anti-spam appliance
and is happy with it ?
kind regards
chris

Solutionhttp://www.checkpoint.com
It will install on a PC with two NIC cards and is highly configurable to block spam.
The problem with spam is the user community creates it themselves. They post their email addresses in public forums such as this, or they reply to spam with anger.
Once the email address is on the spammer list, no applicance can stop the spam, only slow it down.

Re: anti-spam appliance
We also have Exchange running, but use a linux box with sendmail as smart relay host. On the linux we have spamassassin running. Works fine! Another option (to use next to spamassassin) is spamcop (http://www.spamcop.net).
Have fun annoying spammers!
