Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems - Please Update Your Bookmarks
Completed: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We combined many of the older boards, so you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. Check the consolidated boards here as many sub-forums are now single boards.
If you have bookmarked forums or discussion boards in Servers and Operating Systems, we suggest you check and update them as needed.

Re: apt-setup is not found in Debian 4.0

Umm, have you done a search for the file? My thought is that you are not logged in or su'ed to root and the binary is not in your PATH.
"The difference between me and you? I will read the man page." and "Respect the hat." and "You could just do a search on ITRC, you don't need to start a thread on a topic that's been answered 100 times already." Oh, and "What. no points???"

Re: apt-setup is not found in Debian 4.0

The search engine of packages.debian.org says that there is no file named like that in any package of Debian 4.0. So the command simply does not exist.

You're probably following obsolete instructions. The current way to do this is "netselect-apt".
