array controller support in linux

I'm sure this is not the proper place to ask this question but here goes. I have a Compaq Proliant 530 and I want to add a HP Smart Array 6402 Controller. The HP wesite http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11587_na/11587_na.html says that it's supported under Redhat x.x Professional. I'm using Redhat 9.0. Who can tell me if it's ok to make this purchase?

Re: array controller support in linux

I am also looking for array drivers for RedHat 9. I'm using a Compaq Proliant ML530 G1 with a Smart Array 431 controller. The install went fine, but I can't see my second RAID array.
