backup recovery
Hi
here hpux os is in use and there are five hard disk of 146 gb attach to my development server. out of which 2 harddisk on which raid 5 is crashed, which contain oracle database and some application of SAP 5.0. i have offline full backup in tape device and now want to recover data using brtools. how can it possible with new hard disk...
one of my friend told me that just copy and paste whatever getting from damage hard disk,mount new hard disk and paste the old contain of data and up the system. the sytem will run as it is....
is it possible??? or plz help me to recover it from old offline backup if any another way...

hi,
its always depend on the backup method, for example we are using Oracle DB + NetBackup,
So if we need to recover the DB, we don't use brtools, but directly the Netbackup + standard DB tools, to recover to some time.
