canon gp405b in hp-ux 10.20

running hp-ux 10.20 and std lpr + hpnpd (jetdirect).
and have tried to get this multi printer to work. have had the printer working, but a couple of times each week it went crazy and printed the same document over and over... (like upto 500 copies)

does anyone know how to add this printer "the right way"?
