Re: codeword HPUX11i MC/SG mirror/ux

Hi Sven,

Your customer needs a codeword to install the above products. Depending on his HPUX license he will need to pay for the software.

HP-UX Enterprise Operating Environment, purchase separately from hardware

includes mirror ux
http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B9091AC

HP-UX 11i Mission-Critical OE Per-Processor License, purchase separately

includes MC/SG + mirror ux

Hope this helps,

Re: codeword HPUX11i MC/SG mirror/ux

Hi,

thank you for your answer.

Our customer bought HP-UX 11i Mission-Critical Op. Env Server SW (B7994AA) and 4x HP-UX MC Op Enc 1-CPU (B9092AC).

If we need a codeword for the sw, what information do we need? --> http://licensing.hp.com

Is the codeword for free? Or should the customer pay for it?

Sven

Re: codeword HPUX11i MC/SG mirror/ux

hi, if you or your customer has purchased the licence then the codeword is free.

you will need the part number of the cd you are going to use for the software installation and the customer identifier no off the codeword request form supplied with the licence, and customer details.
Once the codeword has been entered in swinstall the product will then appear in the list for installation.

Re: codeword HPUX11i MC/SG mirror/ux

If your cu has a valid license to use HP-UX 11i Mission-Critical Op. Env Server you should contact HP. Your CU does not have to pay extra.

One other option is

http://licensing.hp.com/site=ITRC?LANGUAGE_OPTION=english

You will need to have Customer Identifier or License Number or Certificate ID
