configuring monitor HP D2837A for linux
We bought a lot of vectras with monitor HP D2837A, but linux doesn't recognize
it. It dosn't match even with new Xconfigurator. So we work at 53Hz instead of
85 Hz in 1024x768 mode. We have tried using XF86Setup or writing modelines in
XF86Config without success . Help for ours students eyes. What is the solution
?
Thanks, fabrice

Re: configuring monitor HP D2837A for linux
Fabrice,
Edit /etc/X11/XF86Config and correct the Horizontal and Vertical syncs (as
per D2837A specs) to --
HorizSync 30-70
VertRefresh 50-120
Restart the XServer and it will automagically delete the unused modlines.
