Re: connetion fail in Oracle eBusiness Suite

Hello Kuzo,

Is there something intersting in the listener log ?

(
To get the log path
[The show log_file doesn't seems to work properly for me]
# lsnrctl status SVC_NAME | grep 'Log File'
)

Have you tried to restart the listener ?
# lsnrctl reload SVC_NAME

Cheers

Hello Kuzo!

I don,t know your environment, but I had similar problem. There was responsible for the problem, that TCP/IP protocoll was collapsed. I found the problem, that I could trace the Oracle listener.

Re: connetion fail in Oracle eBusiness Suite

Hi KUZO,
Why don't you check the Package log file that resides in /etc/cmcluster/.
I hope that can direct you towards exact cause of problem.
All the best.
You need to know a lot to actually know how little you know

Re: connetion fail in Oracle eBusiness Suite

you can change the path in oracle for your database instances ini chenge the *_dump_dest to another path with more space or even switch it off

Re: connetion fail in Oracle eBusiness Suite

hi,

"Could I clean all the crash directories?"
The crash directories contain information that HP can use to trace the cause of the crash. You may wish to backup before deleting them. You may also be asked for a copy in case you are troubleshooting with HP.

hope this helps too!

Re: connetion fail in Oracle eBusiness Suite

Hi Kuzo,

As Ingo said before, you need to move some of your variables paths:

Make sure that utl_file_dir (in init.ora file) is not directed to /var. For exemple (on E-Business Suite 11.0.3):

...

utl_file_dir = /disc2/app/appltst/1103/common/TST/tmp

...

As appl user, make sure that APPLCSF is pointing to the right place:

$echo $APPLCSF
/disc2/app/appl.../1103/common/

Each and every day is a good day to learn.
