Hi all,
Probably a stupid question: I have a protected (i.e. shared) workbook which I would like to create a copy of for another purpose. But every time I copy it the copy is considered shared and therefore protected. I cannot remove protection via Tools->Protection because I don't know the password.
Does anyone know a workaround?
Thanx alot
Georg

Solution
Hi Georg
If you can open it ( read-only ) you could try :
Either the save as ...
or if it doesn't work, the good old
Select-all , copy
And then paste in a new workbook !

Why should I bother ? The problem will be gone with the next release ...

Re: copying protected excel workbook
I tried the Save As ... It didn't work. But Copy&Paste does the job.
