could not send message from imap mail server

I installed uw-imap on HP-UX 11i when I am trying to send a message to an account outside the domain I see the following message:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'burhan.koni@paltel.net'. Subject 'test', Account: 'fin02.ora', Server: 'fin02.paltel.ora', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 ... Relaying denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

known that sendmail is working fine.
what can I do to make it send ouside the domain. I need this in oracle applications(Notification mailer)

Hi,

The mailserver probably doesn't recognise your server as one it relays mail for. This document describes how to set it up in sendmail:

Hi everybody
I do not have problem in sendmail it self, I can send messages to any other doman using sendmail. the problem is in the imap mail server when I send any message from outlook express (client for IMAP server) to any account not in the domain, i get the error message I sent.
