Re: crash

hi,
Was vg00 mirrored ?
If your alternate boot path is set then try
bo alt
Did you take a backup?

Re: crash

when I do vgchange -a y vg00, the message:
couldn't query physical volume "/dev/dsk/c0t2d0"

is it means some disk is bad?

and I mv/etc/lvmtab /etc/lvmtab.old, and
do a vgscan, it returns "need vgimport
to complete process?

any idea?
Thanks!

Re: crash

It looks like you have a corrupted LVM on your root disk. If the disk was bad you wouldn't be able to boot off it at all with the -lm

I would suggest you look into trying to boot
from an ignite tape or your Recovery CD.

Anyone for a Mutiny ?

Re: crash

It looks like there is a problem with one of the disks in vg00. I would recommend booting off a maintenance CD and run fsck on all the file systems in vg00. If the fsck cannot be run successfully, you will need to replace the disk before attempting to recover the system.
