Re: dbshut/start scripts for upgrade from 7 to 8

The last one I recall we upgraded 7.3.3 to 8.0.6 with no problems...fact I can't remember changing anything from the start/shutdown scripts I have cron run before it kicks off doing our full backup.

At least not that I can recall.

Rgrds,
Rita

Re: dbshut/start scripts for upgrade from 7 to 8

Hi,
Yes i had the same problems on SUN. The oracle dba 's made a little mistake. The some goes for 8 installations on linux. at least my version hat the problem when i did a full installations (docs included) one of their scripts tried to access a file that was installed at a later point then the script was executed.
Thats of my chest...:}
The scripts work fine now i suppose, did you have a question?
