defragmentation of VxFS file system.

I have production machine with HP-UX 11.11 and VxFS file system. Online JFS is also there.
I want to remove some of the unused disk, which was priviously in used.

I have some query.
-are performance implications of moving the data around through the defragmentation process?
- How fragmented are each of the file systems?
- Can we shrink them without defragmentation?
