disk identification

Hello,

under the 11.31 release of HPUX, vgdisplay shows the disks at /dev/disk/diskxx but under ioscan, i can only see them as /dev/dsk/cxtxdx.

how can i know what is the /dev/dsk/cxtxdx of /dev/disk10 ?

Cedrick

Re: disk identification

Here's a quick script I wrote to help myself for 11.31 "who's what on what". You may find (or may not) find it helpful. It's pretty straightforward. It doesn't do the job for you, but it gives you the reports and that helped me to match things up. I print them and use them for documentation.

Oh by the way, I have EMC disk, so you will obviously need to adjust for your storage environment...
