dtlogin process dies
I have several HP 712 and B180 workstations that the dtlogin process dies for no apparent reason. Then I have to restart the process.
I can create a cron job to check and restart it every minute, but I would like to find the problem and fix it.
Anybody have an idea why this is happening?
Thanks
Steve

Re: dtlogin process dies
Check /var/dt/Xerrors for any errormessages.
Also if you are logged in and the process dies check:
$HOME/.dt/errorlog
$HOME/.dt/startlog
Also verify that:
nslookup
nslookup
Gives the same result.

Re: dtlogin process dies
also get the latest CDE & Motf patches installed : also run the CDE diagnostic tool /usr/contrib/bin/X11/dr_dt and check for warning & errors.
