fhand at 200% with startup mount
We're experiencing periodic race conditions. The most recent seemed to be when I had shut down an Oracle instance to change a parameter. The other instance in the same cluster was still running.
I did a shutdown immediate, I didn't change any parameters, then did a startup mount and the race condition started. Our other dba has reported similar problems on an identical cluster.

Re: fhand at 200% with startup mount
The process is in fact vhand, not fhand. Sorry for the typo. Will repost.

Re: fhand at 200% with startup mount
Hi
Not sure about this but:
Seems that your SGA is getting paged out as vhand is the process controlling paging.
This might be the case if other processes are taking up your memory space.
