That means, by gmail I cannot use other sender addresses as gmail.com, for example I'd like to send a newsletter with this sender address: info@mydomain.net
BTW I don't know if gmail allow to send a mail to 5000 recipients.

Yes. Gmail has a limit for number of messages you can send at a time.
To fight spam and abuse, google will infact temporarily disable a account if messages are sent to more than 500 recipients at a time.

For sending newsletter to mass recipients, check the following link
