Re: hostname is unknown after reboot

What version of HP-UX are you using?

You wrote:

After I configured DNS...

What exactly did you do?
Did you change /etc/hosts or /etc/nsswitch.conf?
What were the changes?

and i can not see my hostname after it reboot

What are you doing to 'see' the hostname?
Is the hostname incorrect or not found?
Are you using the hostname command?
Did you use the nslookup or nsquery command?
Did you use ping from an outside system?
Have you tested your DNS server for a correct entry?
    hint: nsquery $(hostname) myDNSserver

Re: hostname is unknown after reboot

I configure /etc/resolv.conf and vi NSS via SMH. After that my server can not found the hostname. It just " unknown" after i reboot. But when i "set_parms hostname" it still announce the real name of OS ( not unknown )
