how to clear (mark repaired) IML log on Debian Lenny

I installed debian lenny (32 bit) and installed all the packages present on the driver image.

With hplog I can read and add messages just fine, but I don't see a way to clear the entries or mark them as repaired. (our monitoring depends on that)

There is no hpimlview included in the packages; is there an alternative?

If this is the same as HPASM for Redhat, you have the "hpasmcli" tool. You then use "clear iml" to clear the log.

Hope that helps

That's great, thanks a lot!

Is there also a way to do a 'mark as repaired'?

There's the "repair iml " command, also at the hpasmcli prompt.

Thanks a lot.

Silly enough I only looked for that on an older version of that command; the version in the Lenny packages works fine.
