Other tools like evainfo or xpinfo do the same, but are product specific.

What if I have let's say 2 different arrays in my SAN and present a LUN7 from each to the same server?

if disk are not on seperate EMC boxs then it may point to different disk.
for complete surety use :
Storage command to check:
:syminq for EMC storage type
and command mention by torsten

SolutionThe hardware path will show a better picture (ioscan -fn).
But better use SAM or the other specific tools.
