Hello,

Actually I try to install HP-UX 11i V2 on HP B2600 Workstation.
When the install process is complete, HP-UX try to launch the login window but there is an error.

"for detail look into the file Dtlogin.errorlogfile default : /var/dt/Xerrors)"

I do this : "vi Xerrors"

"error (PID 2532) server for display TR2:0 terminated unexpectdly"

"/usr/lib/dld.sl : Invalid Shared library file /usr/lib/X11/Xserver/modules/screens/hp/rw.1"

"usr/lib/dld.sl : Exec format error"

please help me !

thanks !

Re: hp-ux 11iv2 on b2600

11.23 is not supported and for this reason maybe not working. Consider to try without X.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: hp-ux 11iv2 on b2600

Shalom,

I do not believe HP-UX 11.23 is certified on that hardware.

Try this if you don't care about that.

vi /etc/rc.config.d/xfs
Set the font server to autostart, set the variable to 1.

/sbin/init.d/xfs start

Check SHLIB_PATH and the existence of the other files it is complaining about.

Make sure the SHLIB_PATH includes those files if they exist.

Re: hp-ux 11iv2 on b2600

hello,

The solution of my problem was the graphic card.

The computer was equipped with a graphics card FX10 (A1299-66503), I replaced this card by a card A4289-B.

thanks ! bye !
