hp-ux boot error...
On an rx8640 npar running 11.31, the following boot error occurs: “read_efi_hdr: lba do not match”. When this occurs on boot up, it seems as if the box hangs but then moves on. It occurs several times during bootup. Any idea what is causing this and a solution?

Re: hp-ux boot error...
Steve,
Verify the setboot output with lvmboot and see the boot disk path is updated correctly.

Re: hp-ux boot error...
hI
The main reason for the message is likely a unexpected partition format of a former (root/boot) disk device.
It could be that one of the devices made visible to the system has been used as a root/boot device on a older HP-UX revision system.
I remember , there is a kernal patch for this. lemme check
