info - which sw for mp3 resampling ?

hi all,

I need to resample mp3 files (decreasing file size) and looking for some sw. Does anybody have any suggestion ?

I know realplayer for linux can play mp3 files.

lame can take mp3 input and produces good mp3 outputs with many options.
