Re: install proliant 1600 / fedora core 4 / video resolution

I think you have to continue the install to the point where it lets you run tests on your video setup. 640 by 480 is good enough to complete the installation process.

After other install steps a dialogue should come up allowing you to choose the detected video card and monitor and set the default resolution for the server.

Journey on into Linux and it should work out all right.

If you have already completed the installation, then you should be able to change screen resolution in the little control panel in the gnome gui for FC 4.

Re: install proliant 1600 / fedora core 4 / video resolution

You can boot in single user or multi user mode an then change the video resolution.

At the grub prompt, type "a", then "single" or just "3", then enter.

After booting, run:

system-config-display

Or to set a generic video driver use:

system-config-display --reconfig --set-driver=vesa

Then run system-config-display again to set the resolution and monitor type.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?
