ioscan does not indentify msa 1000 which is added just now

hi,
ioscan does not indentify msa 1000 which is added just now, msa 1000 is configured via ACU,please give some helps, thanks!

Did you adjust zoning and SSP?

Did you present the LUN in hp-ux mode?

what is the OS version?

Did you reboot the server? or do "insf" command?

Hi Torsten,
-I install ACU in windows, the crrent configuration is two servers rx4640(unix) and ML37, now I use ACU to confiugre the msa 1000, then ioscan in rx 4640 can not indentify lun from msa 1000 via 4GB HBA card.
but ioscan can indentify mas 1000 when I use in 2GB HBA card , please chech the attachment ,why?

I do not restart the server and do not run command "insf", as your meaning, if I need to do it ?

SSP controls which server is allowed to see a LUN or not. If enabled you need to adjust it.

Hi Torsten,
As your explain on SSP, I think the problem can be caused not in SSP,
if it existed in 4GG HBA card?

-If I can isntall ACU in other server which it is not connected to msa 1000?
- am my understanding ,ACU only can install in OS linux or windows, right?

SSP is configured via ACU on the MSA.
You simply say WWN x is allowed to see LUN y.

ACU in graphical mode can be used on linux and windows, acucli on hp-ux too; a workaround could be the CLI via serial line.
