Re: itanium Processors
Shalom,
HP-UX 11i version 2(11.23) and the upcoming HP-UX 11i version 3(11.31) run on both Itanium and PA-RISC processors.

Re: itanium Processors
The initial version of HP-UX 11i, v2 release
(which was released sometimes in 2003)
supported ONLY itanium (no PA-RISC support).
Later, in Sept 2004, another version of 11i v2 was
released that had the support for Itanium and
PA-RISC.
If you are not sure what version you have, run
the following command:
# swlist | grep HPUXBaseAux
Above command on my Sept 2004 HP-UX 11i,
v2 gives the following output:
HPUXBaseAux B.11.23.0409 HP-UX Base OS Auxiliary
Note B.11.23.0409 (specifying Sept 2004 release).
This means, I have the Sept 2004 release that
supports both itanium and PA-RISC. If you have
a later version, then that is fine too. But if
prints only "B.11.23", then it's a copy of initial
2003 release and supports only Itanium.
Hope this is clear.
