javax/mail/internet/MimeUtility

This java class is not being found when performing an Oracle loadjava command on an HP-UX server. The underlying file that it cannot find is d11fac7_MimeUtility. The system information is as follows: HP 9000 HP-UX 11.0; Oracle 8.1.7.
Thanks!

Re: javax/mail/internet/MimeUtility

hi,

which patch level are you?

could be a bug!

try to:
STEP 1 :
Run initjvm.sql through svrmgrl or by connecting as SYS
ON UNIX AT SQL/SVRMGRL : $ORACLE_HOME/javavm/install/initjvm.sql

STEP 2 :
$ORACLE_HOME/plsql/jlib>loadjava -f -v -r -u sys/**** plsql.jar

STEP 3 :
run initplsj.sql through SVRMGRL or SYS

@$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/initplsj.sql

Re: javax/mail/internet/MimeUtility

Thanks for the input! I followed the steps but it looks like everything was already loaded correctly. I think the problem is simply that the base java class javax/mail/internet/MimeUtility is missing. There may be an incompatibility between the Oracle JDK and the classes in the jar I'm trying to load...

Re: javax/mail/internet/MimeUtility

Hi,

I am thinking on the same line, that there could be a compatibility issue.

Oracle is committed to JServer keeping pace with Java and other Internet standards. 3.6 java.version, oracle.jserver.version, and oracle.server.version.

In release 8.1.7, the java version is "1.2.1" to correspond to the JDK default.

Re: javax/mail/internet/MimeUtility

Step 1.

http://www.hp.com/go/java

Get and install the latest release of the appropriate version of JAVA. Get and install all of the patches.

Make sure SHLIB_PATH points to the correct path when starting the database.

Try again.
