jetdirect ports on an MS cluster
We are using a node on a cluster as a print server. I have installed jetadmin. If I add a printer via the physical node there is the option to use a jetdirect port. If I try to add a printer via the virtual share there is no option for a jetdirect port (only the IP ports). Has anybody any ideas how / if you can get this functionality on a virtual cluster share?. We need to be able to use a jetdirect port!!.
Thanks,
John Hunter

Re: jetdirect ports on an MS cluster
If your cluster is win2k you can visit http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q228/9/04.ASP to see explanation and procedure for using JetDirect as clustered network printer. If you have winnt4.0 cluster see http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q275/5/56.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=clustered%20print&rnk=2&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=WIN2000
