last information

Hello,

I've got a question about the last logging. Does anybody know if the pts/t* logging stands for a telnet connection and a pts/[1-9] for a ssh connection

regards,

Edwin

Re: last information

Shalom Edwin,

Yes I believe it does relate to terminal device or pseudo terminal devices as displayed.

last -R will give you the IP address which might be more useful.
