Has anyone come across a situation where ldapclientd is running at almost 100% of the cpu? What would be the likely cause of this? One solution would be to kill it then restart it. Is there another solution?

Re: ldapclientd
Yes the question is related to HP-UX. Picture of screenshot I took at the time it occurred. Current version of ldap client is 5.03

SolutionThis should help:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=kc0113646en_us&docLocale=en_US
The latest patch should fix it: PHKL_25779
You'll need a support contract to download it.
Otherwise, you'll just have to run a script that restarts ldap, like this:
/sbin/init.d/ldapclientd.rc stop
/sbin/init.d/ldapclientd.rc start

Re: ldapclientd
Thanks Bill
The current vesrsion of LDAP-UX on the system is B.05.03. I would have assumed the fix would have been applied in versions after B.04.20. But thanks for the info I will try that patch.
