listener Problem
I have a problem with my HP-UX 11.23 Server
Database Oracle 9.2.0.2
The listener catch when a lot of users connect to database.
i try to execute the kill comand, but nothing,
and after timed out, +- 10 minutes,
then i start the listener again.
Where can i set in the hp-ux the port 1521 to 30 seconds(timed out) the conection to the user after the user desconect.

Not to sure I understood your pb.
there is a parameter CONNECT_TIMEOUT_listener_name or
INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_
default is 10 seconds
May you could give more details on error messages (anything in the log) ?

you may also wish to define user profiles and configure the following resource parameters:
CONNECT_TIME
CPU_PER_CALL
CPU_PER_SESSION
SESSIONS_PER_USER

Are there more users trying to connect to the database then you have oracle connections available?
Better check the number of oracle processes too...
