lost dir link

Hi everyone,
For some reason I lost my linkage between two dir.
This means I lost all data in that dir.
Anybody could offer any advice?

Hi Li,

What can I say? Is only the link (ln) broken or is the data in the target
directory deleted as well?

First case: Recreate the link
ln -s /dir/to/be/linked /dir/where/link/will/be

Second case: Recreate the link and restore from tape
