lsof?

I believe lsof is a program that can show all open files on a system. I have seen links to where you can get this program on here before, however they are only 32 bit versions. I need the 64 bit version.

Is this available anywhere?

Re: lsof?

My preferred method would be to download the source from any of the HP-UX Porting Centres and compile it. It's quite easy if you have a development compiler or have downloaded and installed the Gnu C compiler.

Plan B. Boolean search the Forums for 'lsof' and '64-bit'. I know several members have done the compile and posted the binary to a public FTP site.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: lsof?

Ron,

You will need to compile it for 64bit. Look at the following thread for the compiling issues and their work arounds.

Re: lsof?

ftp to -wuarchive.wustl.edu/packages/security/lsof/binaries/hpux

You can connect as anonymous and I believe it has a 64-bit version of lsof.

Re: lsof?

Hi Ron:

You'll probably need to compile it yourself, but that's easy. A 'makefile" is provided along with the source, and the most recent version here:

ftp://vic.cc.purdue.edu/pub/tools/unix/lsof

Re: lsof?

Hi Ron,

Try this link ,

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/cgi-bin/search

The 64 bit will be

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/lsof-4.64/

However you can download the source files and compile them on your system too if you want.

Hope this helps.
