lvextend - what user to do it with?

Hi,

HP-UX 11.23 and Oracle 9.0.2.4.

I did an lvextend on one of our database area's a while ago and I need to do one again but I cannot remember what user to do this with. The area is owned by 'oraprd' and group dba with permissions of 775 I believe.

Should I do this with root? will it affect the user assignment and permissions?

best Regards,

You'll have to perform this task as root.

Hi Chad,

Perform it as root.
It will not affect user assignment and permissions
