Re: need help in forwarding mail

Basically, you need to edit your /etc/mail/sendmail.cf file and change the line where you configure the smart host:

DS

To:

DShostname.domain

Where hostname.domain is the hostname of your exchange server. Ensure that that server is listed in your /etc/hosts file.

Then restart sendmail with:

/sbin/init.d/sendmail stop
/sbin/init.d/sendmail start
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Re: need help in forwarding mail

Tried the DS option to specify the exchange server in sendmail.cf. Still giving the following error in mailq--"(host map: lookup (hp.com): deferred)". Please suggest ..

Hi Anil.,

Creating a .forward file in your home directory will help you. Have you looked at the threads which i have given ?
