nickel did not complete its process
Hi All ...
I'm having some problem with the nickel script in one of my server, it just does not seems to complete.
I've waited for few hours its is still running. But I can see some output files generated in /tmp folder.
1st
1. Exit Nickel Session
2. Issue command:
# /sbin/init.d/diagnostic stop
# /sbin/init.d/diagnostic start
3. Run Nickel again:
# cd /opt/contrib/bin
# ./nickel
After trying the 1st steps, it was still not successfull, here was the 2nd steps taken
2nd
1. open new session
2. # ps -ef | grep nickel
# kill -9
# kill -9
Repeat above if necessary
3. The Nickel Script should continue, unfortunately it did not
Appreciate your helps and guides.

Re: nickel did not complete its process
Hi amdtaufik,
Your diagnostics need reinstalling, or better yet, updating. You can verify that the problem is not nickel but cstm with a simple command line like:
echo "selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog" | /usr/sbin/cstm
If this command does not complete in less than 30 seconds, your diags are corrupt.
