nmap tool

Hi there.
Could somebody tell me, where i can get a copy of nmap for HP-UX 11.00 ? Tried it at hpux.asknet.de, but that copy requires libs, which i do not have. Is there a copy ready to use ? if yes, pls let me know.

Re: nmap tool

Try this link;

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Networking/Admin/nmap-2.53/

for a binary for HP-UX 11.

Re: nmap tool

Hi Brendan.
The swinstall could not resolve dependencies
( glib.glib-RUN and gtk+ ).

Re: nmap tool

Hi,

you need to download and install the glib and gtk+ libraries. Just follow the link behind dependencies in the Porting Center. You will find the necessary binaries as sw depot files.

Nmap is dynamically linked by default, so you need this other libraries installed. I don't know of any statically linked binary of nmap.

Hope this helps. Stefan

Re: nmap tool

Oops,

sorry,

I had glib and gtk+ already, so I didn't get to see any conflicts.

Try glib from;

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Gtk/glib-1.2.9/

and gtk+ from;

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Gtk/gtk+-1.2.9/

Re: nmap tool

I've got a copy if you like.

Actually, the swpackage builder built a package with the GUI for nmap (which you don't need). So simply override the dependencies and off you go!
