oracle 8.1.7.2
Folks,
I need info regarding running Oracle 64 bit server and Oracle 32 bit Client on same physical server. How does 32 bit client interact with an Oracle 64 bit server, etc.
Any known issues? Looking for some documentation or white paper.
thanks in advance
Ajay

Re: oracle 8.1.7.2
Hi
You should be able to run any version of the client as you'd like. The only problem is if you run older clients (7.x) with SQL*Net, you might get som problems that are related to SQL*Net (memoryleaks, snmp config etc).
Any Oracle8.x client can be used without consern. 32 / 64 bit ; no difference.
The listener should be of the latest running version of tha databases (ie 8.1.7)
