Re: oracle 9i installation for 11.0
Hi
You'll find what you need at Technet:
http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle9i/content.html
Using the HP Quick install will get you going:
http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle9i/pdf/9i_hp_install.pdf
And your server has to be set up according to the release Note:
http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle9i/pdf/9i_hp_relnotes.pdf
And Oracle has come up with a neet checklist for the installation:
http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle9i/pdf/9i_hp_installcl.pdf
Happy trails!
Andreas

Re: oracle 9i installation for 11.0
Hi
Just want to say that you'll have to be carefull to set up your server according to the requirements.
That is Kernel parameters, disk and swapspace and having all the required patches.
Spending a little exstra time with the release note (always the latest one) and getting it right will save you lots of work later on in the process.
A nice trick is to begin setting up the server with applying the tuned parameter set for database server, and the working from there with the required settings.
Good luck, and enjoy the work!
