oracle 9i memory comsumption
hpux:11.11
oracle:9i
cpu:4
memory:12G
server:SD
One of my customers had SD with 6G memory
They upgraded 6G memory to 12G memory.
After upgrading memory there was no change in memory utilization.
I found that oracle process except oracle background process consumes more memory than before.
Oracle process cumsumed 3-5Mb each before upgrading memory. But now it comsumes 7-12Mb each after upgrading memory.
What should I do? Is there any patch for that?

Re: oracle 9i memory comsumption
Jeong,
It looks to me like you should consider to tune your Oracle 9i ? Have you tried this ?
http://www.stanford.edu/dept/itss/docs/oracle/9i/network.920/a96574/tuning.htm#1000511
In the above link, look at Memory tunining

Mobeen
