is oracle10g client available for suse linux enterprise Desktop 10 SP2 and 11 ?
The oracle Document(fairly old though) says that suse 9 is supported.
google shows only the Database and application server installation methods on Linux(suse/redhat etc)
I want to know the client(10g) availability for suse 10 and 11
Regards

Re: oracle10g client for sled11
Shalom,
Oracle does not generally certify on the Fedora Core's and SUSE equivalents of the world.
If its not specifically certified, don't use the OS for Oracle.
Sorry for the bad news, but I've seen a number of folks try this and be shocked when Oracle would not install.

Hi,
ORACLE certifies just server's SUSE editions (SLES).
10gR2 client is certified for SLES-9,10 a projected for SLES-11.
10g (means R1) is certified for SLES-8,9.
if you have metalink access you can check certification matrix at https://metalink.oracle.com/CSP/ui/flash.html#tab=Certify(page=Certify&id=fvhxlni0())
emha.
