I'm migrating our oracle on hpux11.11, but I found oracle920 installation doc A96167_01.pdf is only for hpux11.0, could you tell me is there a doc for hpux11.11?
Or, maybe you could tell me the exact patchsets and individual patches for ora920 installation, that will help me alot.
Best regards,
patrick

Re: patches for oracle920 installation
Note that the latest patches as mentioned are available at: http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/releaseIndexPage.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|
Don't forget to run the installprep.sh script before the installation so as to make sure that your environment has been properly configured..
hope this helps too!
kind regards

Re: patches for oracle920 installation
Note that Oracle patch recomendations for HP-UX
tend to be very outdated.
In November 2005, I configured a new Superdome partition (PA-RISC based) for a very large
customer.
When Oracle DBAs gave me the HP-UX patch recommendations, I analysed them and found them to be too old.
For example,
PHCO_23094 - s700_800 11.11 libc cumulative header file patch
... was generated in 2001!?
Patch PHCO_31923 superseeded it in 2004.
In the end, I used ITRC script
cpm_collect.sh, generated the report
and installed the latest Gold bundles at the
time (Sep 2005). In addition, latest
versions of Oracle-recommended patches
were installed too (for example,
patch PHCO_31923 instead of PHCO_23094).
The Superdome partition therefore
runs the very recent patches and Oracle
works like a charm.
Maybe I was very lucky. The point that
I want to make is: never assume anything
and test it for yourself. In the end,
what is the point of having several years
old "certified" patches that cannot pass
Operations Acceptance Testing for security
and performance.
