power on password

I have an old Presario 7282 and my son forgot the power on password, I looked all over to find out how to remove the CMOS battery, but was not able to find anything in this model.

Can you please help me?? I have the CPU already without the cover, but I can't find the CMOS

Re: power on password

On the 7200 series you should have a W1 jumper. Remove it and count to ten then put it back on. This should clear the CMOS. The power on password may not be stored in CMOS.
