question regarding use of Netbackup (Veritas) legalities

I am looking for docs, papers anything regarding to use of the netbackup (Veritas client)

Would it be possible to have a server running the veritas client collect data from another server and port all its data to the veritas server?

I need hard core paper to say yes or no, where would I find this? I can not find anything on the veritas site. And if I contact them I am pretty sure that I will just get a "NO".

Hi,

Are you talking about migrating the client database from one netbackup server to another. By Client databases i mean the status / list of all the data backed from that client.

Thanks

No, what I mean is:
I have server that does not have a veritas client running on it, it pushes its backups to a server that is running a veritas client and both the host server and remote server are backed up.

Re: question regarding use of Netbackup (Veritas) legalities

Hi,

Is NFS mount and backing up those mounts an option. By default netbackup disables backup of nfs mounted filesystem, but you can enable the same to be backed up.

Hoep this helps.
