redhat 8.0 install
The install hangs either when transferring the image to the hard drive before installation or during the installation. I have also tried installing the bare minimum but the system hangs every time. Is this a known problem?
I am trying to install on an AMD 400Mhz cpu with 100Mb ram and 3Gb hard drive.
Thanks in advance,
Trystan.

Re: redhat 8.0 install
1.Verify that your md5sum of the iso is the same as the md5sum from redhat's site.
2. Reburn the ISOs and try the installation again.
3. Try burning another CDs and try the installation again.
Regards,
Sergejs

Re: redhat 8.0 install
Try installing with:
At the boot prompt:
linux ide=nodma
or
linux ide0=ata66
Regards,
Sergejs
