regarding linux installation
hi all
I am trying to install LINUX in rx6600,which is having already hpux in one disk,after putting dvd it is showing some error,in EFI menu?? what is the cause,may be driver issue..
kindly let me know

Read the error message, type it into this thread and then maybe someone can help you.
So long as you don't try and install Linux onto an already existing LVM owned disk, you can dual boot your rx6600 system, though I see no reason to use such a powerful system in this way.
Are you sure you are using 64 bit ia64 Linux? What distribution of Linux?

Its is showing internal bootable dvd not found,I tried with 64 bit,and also 32bit also..its RHEL 5 that a latest version,know we r try from hp integrity essentional pack(cd) for linux,will it work??

Hi,
As SEP said, are you sure you're using the right version of Linux...?
For RedHat there are a number of different releases:
i386 = 32 bit
x86_64 = 64 bit for AMD64 and Intel EM64T
ia64 = 64 bit for Itanium
