sapdba unable to get oracle block size;

Hi Experts,

I moved sap/oracle from one server into another. The SAP system and the oracle database are running. but when we are trying to use sapdba to perform the backup we got oracle is not connecting error.

Any body knows can assisst on resolving this error.

did you try to enter the correct SYSTEM password as requested? Did this work?
Did you verify the SYSTEM password with sqlplus?

You moved SAP & Oracle to another server. Did you edit the SQLNET configuration? tnsnames & listener?

If you backup program is a client program you must re-define the host name in tnsnames.ora file in client pc. You can do that also with "SQL*Net Easy Configuration"...

Check SAP Note = 421085 and if needed search the notes database at SAPNET.
